last week review, part III

The first speak easy of this year.
Last saturday, a day of miracle and mystery.

Mystery - had to do the shopping for the menue we served for dinner. Needed some asian ingredients which have not been available in any asian supermarket although it should be.
Mystery - our favourite wine store was closed although it should be open. So I left home again to buy the wine somewhere else.

Miracle - with all the mystery of the day and the fact that two people didn't appear without giving notice it was a wonderful and funny evening which we enjoyed very much.

a selection of different dips and sauces

bread & buttter

The biggest fashion fair of street wear taking place at the airport Tenpelhof in Berlin.
Have been working there with other chefs doing nothing than throwing frozen paddies into a huge pan for burgers.
We did thousands of them.
What a pity that people who think to reflect lifestyle by fashion haven't realized that good food (not frozen burgers) is lifestyle.

last week review, part I

light 'n' dog

Half of the year it is rainy, cloudy, foggy, snowy and the temperature is falling. The other half it is sunny, warm, hot and even then you do not feel walking the dog. But sometimes you are thankful for that little beast kicking your a... because she does not care about the weather.
Runnig around, hunting branches, dogs and leaves which have been carried by the wind. Having a break in a pinch of sun. She already knows that life is to enjoy.

happy people at a birthday party

You do not need much to make happy people at your birthday party. Yesterday they had prosecco, red and white wine, a selection of vodka and a basket of fresh ingredients for the dinner.


Cream soup of chestnuts and oranges
served with freshly baked orange-rosemary bread

Lemon chicken on braised capsicum, courgettes, eggplants, onions and cherry tomatoes accompanied by tagliatelle

Warm chocolate tarte with a salad of pineapple and chili served with vodka sabyone


Nice to be at her birthday for preparing the food.
